Prof. Yousry Elgamal, Professor of Computer Engineering, senior advisor at The Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and Chairman of The Computer Scientific Society (CSS), Alexandria-Egypt. He served as The Minister of Education of Egypt 2005-2010, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Egypt Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) 2010-2014, and the senior consultant of the National Telecommunications Institute of Egypt. He is a member of the group of experts preparing The Global Knowledge Index, and The Chairman of The Information and Communication Committee at The National Committee of Education, Culture, and Science (UNESCO, ALECSO, ISESCO). He is the Editor-in-Chief of “Advances in Computing and Engineering (ACE)” Journal.

Elgamal has also served in a number of capacities at The Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport including Vice-President for Education and Research, Founding Dean of College of Engineering and Technology, Founding Chairman of Electronics and Communication Department, and Assistant to the President for Informatics. He served also as a Lecture of Nuclear Electronics at The Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alexandria 1968, his M.Sc. form Ain-Shams University 1977. Prof. Elgamal holds a D.Sc. in Computer Science from the George Washington University 1985, and a recipient of Richard Merwin Award 1984. He is a board member of the Center of Special studies and Programs (CSSP) and the Center of Science and Planetarium, Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Dr. Elgamal is an active member of the Civil Society of Alexandria as a chairman of The Society of Friends of Music and Arts, and former president of The Yacht Club of Egypt in Alexandria.

Prof. Ashraf M. A. Ahmad

Prof. Ashraf M. A. Ahmad is a distinguished academic and innovation leader in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, with over two decades of experience. He is a Professor of Computer Science at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Jordan, where he has supervised numerous PhD, MSc, and undergraduate students. Prof. Ahmad plays a key role in shaping Jordan’s digital transformation through his contributions to national strategic committees, including the Central Bank of Jordan’s Emerging Technologies Committee and initiatives by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE). His research spans explainable AI for finance, lightweight cryptography for sensitive systems, and AI-driven content moderation, leading to impactful collaborations across MENA, Europe, and Asia. He is also the founder of the Jordan Collegiate Programming Contest (JCPC) and co-led the first Armython cybersecurity competition in the Middle East & Africa. A prolific researcher and entrepreneur, he has published in top-tier venues and developed AI-powered platforms, cybersecurity automation tools, and digital currency solutions. Prof. Ahmad continues to bridge academia, innovation, and national development with dedication and impact.

Waleed Khalil

Waleed Khalil is the Managing Partner at Den VC and a prominent figure in the world of engineering, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. With a career spanning over two decades, he has gained extensive experience in manufacturing consumer electronic products across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Egypt. In early 2023, he founded Den VC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in deep tech startups in Africa and the Middle East. Through investments in companies such as Proteinia, WideBot, and Your Parts, Den VC has demonstrated its commitment to promoting investment diversity, positive impact, and significant financial returns. Before founding Den VC, Waleed served as a partner at Endure Capital from 2016 to 2022 — a globally active venture capital firm that has invested across multiple regions. During his tenure, he played a key role in securing investments that led to the emergence of four unicorns: Careem, Boom Supersonic, Tribal Credit, and Aspect Biosystems. Throughout his career, Waleed has been a respected mentor to hundreds of tech startups across the Arab region and Africa and has been a distinguished speaker at numerous entrepreneurship events, including Gitex, Biban, Techne Summit, RiseUp Summit, and many more. Academically, Waleed holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Cairo University and an MBA in finance from the American University in Cairo, where he also serves as a Faculty Adjunct at the School of Business.

Prof. Faisal N. Abu-Khzam

Prof. Faisal N. Abu-Khzam is a Professor of Computer Science and Assistant Dean for Research Collaboration and Partnerships at the Lebanese American University (LAU). He has previously served as Interim Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics (2013–2014) and as Computer Science Program Lead (2021–2023). Dr. Abu-Khzam is also the director of LAU’s online Master of Science in Computer Science program, and he is the founding director of the Lebanese Collegiate Programming Contest (LCPC).

Abu-Khzam earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and both his M.S. in Mathematics and B.S. in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. His research interests span graph algorithms, combinatorics, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing. His contributions include the development of key methods for parameterized and exact algorithms, record-breaking kernelization bounds, and several of the fastest known exact and enumeration algorithms for classical graph problems. His recent work includes novel methods for correlation clustering, feature selection and graph embedding in machine learning. Through his research, Dr. Abu-Khzam has advanced theoretical foundations while fostering practical applications in areas such as biology and environmental sciences.

Latif Ladid

Latif Ladid is the Founder and President of the IPv6 Forum and one of the world’s leading advocates for next-generation internet technologies. He serves as an Emeritus Trustee of the Internet Society (ISOC) and leads both the IPv6 Ready Logo and IPv6 Education programs. Latif is a Senior Researcher at the University of Luxembourg (SnT) and a board member in global standardization bodies, including 3GPP. With decades of leadership in IPv6 deployment, IoT, and future networks, he is widely recognized as an international pioneer in internet innovation.
